Refund Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-19

This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for meshcheck credits and subscriptions. It is part of our Terms of Service. Payments are handled by Polar, our merchant of record, so refunds are ultimately processed by Polar.

Credits are consumable

meshcheck runs on credits. A subscription grants a monthly allotment of credits, and each validation, render, or inspect request consumes credits from your balance. Credits are consumable: once a credit has been spent on a request, it has been used and is not refundable, whatever the report said. You are paying for the work the service performed, not for a passing verdict.

Unused credits

Refunds of unused credits are discretionary, not automatic. Unused credits stay on your balance from month to month — they do not expire while you have an account — so a low-usage month is not grounds for a refund by itself. If you believe your situation warrants a refund of unused credits — for example a recent charge you did not intend — contact us and we will consider it in good faith.

How refunds are processed

Because Polar is the merchant of record, any refund is issued by Polar. Polar may issue a refund at its discretion for up to 60 days after a purchase. Where a refund is granted:

  • it is returned to the original payment method through Polar;
  • payment-processing fees are non-recoverable — a refunded amount may exclude fees that cannot be reclaimed;
  • credits corresponding to a refunded purchase are removed from your balance.

We do not offer automatic refunds. Requesting a refund does not guarantee one.

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; it is not a refund of the current period. Your plan's rate limits and file caps remain in effect through the end of the paid period, after which your account reverts to the free plan and stops receiving monthly credit grants. Credits already on your balance are not taken away when a subscription ends — they remain usable on the free plan (at free-plan rate limits) and are simply not refunded, subject to the discretionary consideration above.

How to request a refund

Manage your subscription and invoices through the Polar customer portal, or contact us atsupport@meshcheck.dev and we will help route the request. Please include the email on your account and the approximate date of the charge.
