Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-19
These terms are a contract between you and meshcheck ("meshcheck", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the meshcheck website, the validation API, the demo, and the meshcheck-mcpserver. By creating an account or calling the API you agree to them. If you use meshcheck on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.
The service
meshcheck is a deterministic validation API for 3D assets in GLB and glTF 2.0 format. You submit a model; the service runs a fixed set of checks and returns a machine-readable report plus rendered screenshots. An optional /inspect endpoint answers semantic questions about a model using a third-party AI service (see the Privacy Policy for how that works). meshcheck measures assets; it does not modify them.
We may change, add, or remove checks, profiles, and endpoints over time. The report schema is versioned so you can pin against a major version; breaking changes bump the major version.
Accounts and API keys
Some features require an account and an API key. Your API key authenticates requests as you and draws down your credit balance, so treat it like a password. You are responsible for all activity under your keys, for keeping them secret, and for the security of the systems where you store them. Keys are shown once at creation and stored only as a hash on our side — we cannot recover a lost key, only issue a new one.
We may revoke a key or suspend an account that we reasonably believe is being used to abuse the service, evade rate limits or credit accounting, or violate these terms. Where practical we will tell you why.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit content that is illegal, or that you do not have the rights to submit and process;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or degrade the service, or to circumvent rate limits, credit accounting, authentication, or the file-size and quota controls;
- probe, scan, or reverse-engineer the service other than as expressly permitted by law, or use it to build a competing service by scraping our outputs at scale;
- resell, sublicense, or otherwise make access to the API available to third parties without our written authorization. Using meshcheck inside your own product or pipeline is fine; reselling raw API access as a service is not.
Your content and its license
The models you upload and the reports generated for you remain yours. We claim no ownership of your assets. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, render, and store your uploaded content solely to produce your report and screenshots, and to operate the service. That license is scoped by our retention behavior: uploaded model bytes are deleted immediately after processing, and reports and screenshots are retained on the schedule described in thePrivacy Policy. We do not use your uploaded models to train models of our own.
The demo endpoint
The public demo runs the real API on a shared, rate-limited demo key and is provided for evaluation only. Demo screenshots are watermarked and demo uploads are deleted immediately after processing. Do not build production workloads on the demo; use an account and your own key.
Billing and credits
Paid plans and credits are described on the site and are sold through Polar, our merchant of record. Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refund Policy, which is part of these terms. Taxes are calculated and added at checkout; listed prices are tax-exclusive.
Disclaimer of warranties
meshcheck is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a report is a complete or authoritative judgment of an asset's quality or suitability. Our reports are measurements and clearly-labelled opinions, not certifications. You remain responsible for deciding whether an asset is fit for your use.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, meshcheck will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a material change we will post the updated terms here with a new "last updated" date and, where we have your email and the change is significant, notify you. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.
